Music in the Community

Last year was the first time I really understood how important music is to the communities around us. It brings positive, long lasting and life changing experiences, it puts smiles on people's faces and it breaks down barriers between people and cultures.
Over the last 2 years, I have performed in a variety of community music settings from care homes to hospitals to schools and even fundraising in the local community.
This year in the COVID-19 pandemic I saw music connect communities together. When music events cancelled and care homes shut their doors to the outside world to protect the vulnerable and the public shielded for their safety, musicians around the world including myself continued to share music with the community through virtual and neighbourhood performances from our homes.

It's so important for me to be able to continue being part of the community, where I first started to get experience performing and helping people with music.
